Maybe because of the particularity of my work, in each program, I need to recite a lot of lines, and I am always praised by the live recording staff for the speed and accuracy of my line reciting. Many colleagues are very curious about the secret of my line reciting; facing their surprised and envious eyes, I always answer them smilingly and mysteriously: “That’s because I have mastered mental math”

I remember in my first grade of primary school, I was in an abacus experimental class, and I have to carry a big abacus every day to school. Looking students in other classes going to school without any burden, I was totally unwilling to do like that, because in the technology era, we could even use the calculator during examinations, but we had to carry such a cumbersome. Moreover, during the summer vacation, other children could relax themselves at home, but we had to practice abacus in the classroom. However, as time went by, especially after learning abacus mental math, our advantages were gradually revealed. At that time, in math class, our teacher often tested us to answer a hundred math questions in five minutes, and my classmates who had learned abacus mental math often finished it in advance, who were admired by the whole class. However, for our young mind, the proudest thing was far more than in the classroom; at that time, I hoped guests coming to my home the most, so I can perform my masterpiece. Usually, the guest held the calculator to compete with me, another one asked arithmetic questions freely, and the result was as imagined: although the person holding the calculator was busy enough, he/she was still defeated by me.

Slowly, I found that mental math taught me not only how to obtain results of calculating so many figures at the fastest speed, but also an effective learning method actually. Those fine words I read and those good times I experienced clearly printed in my mind like a film. From then on, I fell in love with abacus mental math in real sense, and my study and my life began to benefit from abacus mental math. It has improved my learning interest, trained me to exclude any distracting thoughts in my brain, and helped me to be admitted to the ideal university—Peking University.

Success is always favored with those making preparations in advance. Perhaps benefiting from the rich background accumulated in my childhood, in Peking University with galaxy of talents, I can still be at ease whether in learning or in social practice. Every year I god fruitful harvests, and every time I was rising the ideal sail. Because I have superb memory and rigorous thinking, I have won the champion of the first university network debate contest, the champion of National Undergraduates Knowledge Contest in “Beijing-Guangdong-Shanghai-Macao”, the champion of Peking University Art Star, the champion of “Peking Debate”, etc. over the years. At the same time, I was recommended for admission to the postgraduate school of Peking University.

Today, more than ten years have passed, and I have been associated with abacus mental math for more than ten years. Abacus mental math makes me develop a good habit of being diligent in exercising my brain and concentrated.

Abacus mental math accumulated energy for the development of my career. I have always believed that knowledge is interlinked, and there is no division between subjects. I am glad that in the enlightenment stage of my knowledge acquirement, abacus mental math accompanied me and taught me to be confident and independent.

Perhaps in my heart, abacus mental math has only the beginning, but no end ... ...
