Different School-running Stages Have Different Needs

Shenmo has more than 7,000 franchise schools. As the founding time and development stages are different, they have different needs in separate stages. Therefore, the headquarters, the school committee, and the leading groups from all sectors of Shenmo need to think about the needs of schools. Although different needs existed in the past, since the differences among schools were not obvious, the indiscriminate treatment didn’t cause obvious problems; however, things have changed now.
School development can be divided into five levels: instrument, skill, method, strategy, and law.
First, instrument + skill.
As the name implies, instrument means tool. As far as school running, it includes teaching aids, teaching materials, newspapers, magazines, and so on.
Skill is embodied in teaching, regular conferences, recruitment processes, activity processes, etc.
We classify schools in the level of “instrument” and “skill” into the first stage. Schools in this stage need products and specific school-running skills, ranging from teaching skills and language and material organization in school visiting to activity planning and the establishment of the school process system.
Learning-type conferences suitable for schools of this stage include:
New Teacher Training, Old Teacher Training, Special Supervision Visit of Research Institutes, Joint Work Report of Supervisors, Training for Newly Franchised Schools, New Elite Project 2019, and Special Assistance within Specified Provinces.
In addition to the president training for newly franchised schools, learning conferences for teachers and supervisors are also suitable, because presidents of schools in the first stage are essentially teachers, who need to learn from the beginning.
The essence of this stage: "material preparation" and "basic handling skills"
The specific learning principles:
1: Actively seeking--in addition to the regular conferences, schools in this stage should take the initiative to learn from other schools (schools which have mature experience and are on Shenmo list in terms of successful school running. Exploration with those inexperienced will definitely end in futility) School-to-school communication works better;
2: Participating in higher-level conferences regarding culture, strategy, etc. If conditions permit, it is necessary to know them in advance, but you needn’t master them all.
School development relying on skills only will soon encounter the bottleneck. In any case, never think such conferences “useless", or you may gradually push yourself to a blind thinking area, leaving your school lack of ideology and leadership.
Second, method, including operation and tactics.
Operation-type training focuses on tactical operation models, which need the comprehensive operational capability. In essence, it improves the cognitive level of presidents. This stage is about the choosing, training, and managing of "people.
When a team expands to a certain extent, you will find it in difficulties by merely relying on skill improvement. Excellent talents will lose motivation, and the new talents will be stifled. In response to this, it is necessary to promote the overall development of the school by improving the leadership, organizational and coordination capabilities, and operational capabilities of the president.
Therefore, this type of conferences is transitional, which includes both specific business guide and interpretations of concepts and ideas.
Representative conferences include:
Two Multiples (multiple courses and multiple teaching sites) Special Training 2019, Provincial-level Special Investigation, and Work Report Conference of Provincial-level Presidents.
The specific learning principle is persistence
1: Learning in the operational phase as well as structural adjustment can be regarded as the detailed analysis of school affairs in previous stages. On the one hand, the internal affairs of the school will be clearly organized, and the overall planning and system must be carried out;
2: on the other hand, it is in an adjustment period, which needs repeated trial and error. At deep level, it runs in presidents’ inherent thinking and new ideas. Remember, all the outstanding schools, and even all the best brands in the world, have gone through this stage. A boat sailing against the current must forge ahead, or it will be driven back.
This stage is the watershed of franchised schools. Some usher larger development space, while others enter a plateau period that is difficult to break through, and even go recessionary.
Third, strategy, that is, the overall planning in aspects of strategy, culture, thought, and direction.
Take the annual Shenmo President Summit for example; the headquarters will have directions in them. This type of conferences mainly analyzes the status quo, guides the direction, and interprets the planning.
This type of conferences are significant for some schools, and some presidents may get to the point quickly; however, it is unintelligible for some other schools, because such conferences have nothing to do with the specific school running methods--in fact, it reflects the performance in different stages.
Representative conferences include:
Shenmo National Summit prior to 2018, Shenmo Provincial-level Discussion, Five-round Plan, Heart Time Symposium and the upcoming Symposium of Journey of the Heart. Such conferences should not be frequent, and each province should organize once per year.
The learning principle: "at least once
The development direction and school running thought belong to the high-end strategy. When you have it, you may not know its importance, but if you lose it, you will go wrong for many years. Therefore, it is necessary to hold such conference at least once a year.
Even if you don't understand it at the current stage, it can be regarded as the resource reservation for development in three or five years--at least you will not lose your way at the moment.
Fourth, law, or abiding by the law, that is, the leading learning about the top design of Shenmo in spirit level.
Such learning generally follows the invitation system, which requires participants to have a relatively profound foundation of school running and development, as well as self-cultivation and spiritual pursuit. The only principle is: if you are invited, don't refuse it, as the opportunity is very precious; if you don't receive any invitation, don't worry, improve yourself step by step.
In addition, some special conferences are also included in this dimension, such as Provincial School Committee Conference, Mental Communicator Training, County-Town Joint Development Conference, and Shenmo Shining Stars Conference. They are targeted for specific groups.
