Parents and teachers are busy with the upcoming 2019 Shenmo "Sunny Flowers, Shining Stars" children's diverse talent show! During the interaction and consultation, we truly feel the parents' expectation for their children's talent show.

Different from examinations, the significance of children's talent show platform aims to promote children's growth.

Some are children enthusiastic and outgoing in life. They dare to show their abilities in front of the public, such as speech, singing, dancing and so on. They are confident and have a high happiness index. The reason is that they often participate in various public activities and show their strengths on the big platforms. Such children are often well-adapted and vigorous.

From the perspective of children's long-term development, it is very beneficial to show their talents on an open stage.

Shenmo's various talent display platforms are positioned to encourage and recognize children's efforts and achievements; the organizational mechanism and procedure are strict; the activities have well-balanced tension and relaxation, so that children can feel the challenges and breakthroughs when participating in activities:

First of all, the platform is mostly at the provincial and municipal levels, and the number of participants ranges from hundreds of people to thousands of people. The scene has a strong psychological impact on children; besides, the admission, preparation, test paper distribution, time-measured answers, paper collection, waiting for results, receiving awards, etc. constantly impact children's simple cognitive view. If the child's pure heart is a piece of white Chinese art paper, the talent show platform is like the colorful ink that is suddenly splashed, and his mind will undergo baptism in the process of receiving and dissolving the "ink".

Second, the award-winning proportion of the talent show platform is high. Almost all the competitors can get awards. This may be a bit ridiculous in the eyes of adults, but it is so meaningful to children who have just learned to read and count. Children will pride in winning a pencil in the provincial-level or municipal-level competition, and the happiness gained from the award of a pencil is totally the same as the happiness gained from a gold medal.

They don't care what prizes they have won. The ranking cared by adults is very vague for children, and the talent show platform grasps this feature and brings the joy of success to children properly. This sense of accomplishment can give children positive psychological hint in a long period, which is what we call self-confidence.

Self-confidence can greatly promote the learning of children in this period, because the purpose of children’s learning during this period is still unclear. “Future”, “work” and “life” will not appear in their minds. Therefore, they are interested in the joy that this sense of accomplishment brings to them and continue to improve.

Finally, there is another problem that we have neglected, namely, “children’s attitude towards various talent show platforms”.

Different children have different attitudes, the most prominent of which are the following two:

“I am not excellent, but I'd like to participate.”

“I am excellent enough, but I don’t want to participate.”

These two attitudes seem to be reasonable, and there is not much difference, but we must be vigilant - children's nature is naive, and they almost follow their hearts to express their ideas without disguise.

In choosing whether to participate in the activity, children are more decisive than parents. Sometimes, parents’ ambiguous attitude will hurt children's positivity; for example, if they are evaluated as “not very good”, such self-denying concept will affect children's self-confidence; similarly, “excellent enough” will become the negative hints hindering their continuous improvement.

Children's attitude towards all kinds of talent show platforms is just like their thought against most things - ignorant and have no feeling. Our feelings and judgments are the first cognition and feelings of children.

Suppose we are not aware of the impact of our words and deeds on children, and convey our consistent attitude towards things to children's cognition, their feelings about new things will be restricted and will change into fixed thinking, feeling, and behavior. Such evaluation conveys instructions to the subconscious mind and affects children throughout life. Therefore, paying attention to the children's inner growth is still the most important topic of children's growth education.
